<br><br>The Topeka ScareCrows of the United States Hockey
League have announced that first-year forward Erik
Fabian has been named the USHL/Let's Play Hockey
Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending December
16, 2001.<br>Fabian, 18, was named the league's
Offensive Player of the Week after notching two goals and
three assists for five points in a two game sweep of
the Rochester Mustangs this past weekend. The Roseau,
Minn., native tallied Friday's first goal on the
power-play. The Crows would go on to win 4-1. On Saturday
night, the 6-foot-2, 207-pounder registered one goal and
three assists in a 6-2 victory. His three assists were
on two power-play goals and the game-winner. His
four points in a game tied the ScareCrows record for
most points in a game, and his three assists in one
game also tied a ScareCrows record. For the season,
the USHL rookie has eight goals and four assists for
12 points in 24 games.<br><br>Fabian is the second
ScareCrows player to be named USHL Player of the Week. Vince
Bellissimo received the honor earlier this
season.<br><br>The 'Crows enter the 10-day USHL Christmas break in
eighth position overall in the league with a 10-11-4
record for 24 points, making the playoffs if they were
to begin today. After the break, the ScareCrows will
travel to face the Lincoln Stars on December 28th and
the Des Moines Buccaneers on December 29th. The
'Crows will be back home for a New Year's Day game
against the Omaha Lancers. All home and road games can be
