The Bakersfield Condors of the West Coast Hockey
League today announced the signing of former Topeka
ScareCrows right wing, Peter Brearly (pronounced-Breer-ly).
Brearly scored a career-high 44 goals last year in 66
games. <br><br>"I'm real excited to have Peter (Brearly)
again. He was starting to come into his own the year
before, but last year was a breakout year for him," said
Condors Head Coach Paul Kelly. "He's young, big and
skates well. He has a great touch and heavy shot. I'm
looking for him to do more this year in Bakersfield, than
last year in Topeka." <br><br>The 26-year old Brearly
(6-3, 215) is a native of Chatham, Ontario, Canada. The
fourth-year pro spent his first three seasons in the East
Coast Hockey League (ECHL). Brearly scored 46 points in
55 games for Huntington in 1999-2000. <br><br>The
2001-02 season opener is 92 days away with the
Bakersfield Condors playing the Long Beach Ice Dogs at
Centennial Garden on Friday, October 12th. Season tickets
