TOPEKA, KS -- The Topeka ScareCrows announced the
signing of defenseman Kirk Llano and forward Andre
Quesnel today. <br><br>Llano (5'11", 198) played last
season with Colorado of the West Coast Hockey League. In
44 games, he scored 16 points on one goal and 15
assists. He had 62 penalty minutes. During the 1997-98
season, Llano played two games with Fort Wayne in the
International Hockey League. During his three-year professional
career, Llano has played in 119 games and scored 35
points on 8 goals and 27 assists. He has spent 142
minutes in the penalty box. Llano, a Calgary, Alberta
native, has played in 3 playoff games. He played in the
Southern Hockey League during the 1995-96 season, where he
played in 55 games and had four goals and 26 assists.
Southern Hockey League games do not count against the
veteran rule.<br><br>An Ottawa, Ontario native, Quesnel
(6', 185) played in 51 games for the Fort Worth Fire
during his rookie campaign. He scored 42 points on 18
goals and 24 assists. He had 37 penalty minutes. The
ScareCrows obtained Quesnel's Central Hockey League rights
in the league's dispersal draft in April
