Me too. I feel a little bit better about it today than I did
yesterday when I first heard rumors about it. Yesterday, I was
hearing "blood clot in arm, season-ending surgery, career
threatening." Today, at least, it seems that, it's not as clear cut
as that. It could wind up being something very, very minor and he
wouldn't miss but a start or two, or it could end up being something
that needs to be repaired surgically, and he would be out the rest
of the season. But hopefully whatever happens, he'll be able to
completely recover from it, with absolutely no problems and go out
there next season and pitch again.
And best case scenario, he's able to go out there THIS season and
pitch again.
I'm just relieved to know that, it's not something anyone considers
life-threatening, nor anything that should cause long-term health
issues, etc. Because as much as I want to see him pitch and all of
that, my #1 concern was him. Thankfully, it sounds like he's going
to be okay.....
But man, it's been a nerve wracking couple of days just for me as a
fan... I can't imagine how he's been feeling and what's been going
through his mind.
Let's hope he winds up getting really good news after the tests are
completed....
