I'd really like to see him reach 300 as well. And I think he still
can, but he's definitely going through a rough patch right now.
I'm not sure what is going on. I notice he doesn't seem to be throwing
his curveball very much at all. I'm not sure why that is -- whether it
has to do with the individual team he's facing and their propensity to
hit the curve -- or if he just isn't confident enough to throw it.
I hope he IS confident enough in that pitch or gains confidence in it,
because I think it is SUCH a good and important pitch for him. And he
throws a beautiful curve.
He's hit rough patches before and pulled through them, so I am
completely confident that he can do the same here, but I'd be lying if
I said I wasn't at least a little concerned. I just hate to see him
struggling.
But hopefully he's able to figure out what's going on and bounce back
in his next outing.
I definitely know how you feel, though. I've been a Glavine fan for a
long time too and became a Mets fan when he went there.
