Your Present Day New York Met Idol

In case you have not heard yet, Taylor Hicks won, last night, for
your 2006 American Idol. By far, I personally believe that this
past season was the best ever in competion on that show but then
again, that is my opinion. ESPN started a poll, last night on who
is the best sports idol of all time. With this said, I decided to
throw out to all of you members, who is your favorite New York Met
Idol. I have decided to keep your choices to the present day team
as I could be here listing forever, all those that have put on a Met
uniform. If you really can not find a player on the current team
that I have listed below, I have given you one final option to write
in someone from the past. In this way, all bases, so to speak, are
covered! When you respond, be sure to explain your pick as I am sure
we would all like to know your reasoning.
