Re: Tom the pitcher, Tom the movie star

I just want you to know cew47, that I love you right now b/c darn if
I didn't forget that the ESPY awards were tonight. But thanks to
you, I checked and found out which times it's on so I can record it
and get that clip. How ticked off at myself would I have been if I
missed that?

I must have forgotten since I've been a wee bit ill today because
I'm stupid. For future reference, It's not a smart move to take a
walk in the middle afternoon (say, 2:30 or 3) in Phoenix, when it's
116 outside. I know, I know. You'd think I would have been smart
enough to realize that, but...lol. I did not. But, feeling much
better now.

That game on Friday. Man, I just loved that game. And I actually got
to watch it since MLB Extra Innings on Digital Cable was having a
free preview. It's only the second game I've seen him pitch this
season (minus a couple of spring training games I saw) and it was
just so wonderful to get to witness 1) the matchup between Smoltzie
and Glav and 2) to see him pitch so great. I was so happy.

I didn't get to see the interview with them or any of that though.
Thanks for mentioning it here. I'm so glad Smoltz and Don Sutton
made those comments. Maybe he'll finally start winning over people
again.

Did you see Glavine and Eddie Perez the night before talking to each
other from across the dugouts? I had the game on and caught them
doing that. It really made me smile.
