Ok, so can you guys see the smile on my face from where you are?

Tom pitched AWESOME tonight and the mets won 2-0.

He went 7 innings (pitched to two batters in the 8th before a
reliever came in), giving up ZERO runs, ZERO walks, 4 hits and
getting 3 strikeouts. Just awesome, awesome.

So proud of him. I knew he'd be able to bounce back and that his
last outing was a step in the right direction. You don't know how
happy I was to visit this one Mets web site (which is usually BRUTAL
about Tom) and seeing them post positive comments about him.

Meanwhile, I have a beef with Mets.com. You know what headline they
had up for the game at one point? It said "Floyd's two-fer backs
maddux's gem."

MADDUX?

*shakes head*

Glavine gets NO love. Poor guy. Even when he's not on the same team
with him, he's still in Greg Maddux's shadow.

Thankfully they changed it but it was up for a pretty decent amount
of time. LOL. I read it and was like, "Maddux? He's not even on
their TEAM!"
