First of all, we've had some new folks join the club in the last few
days, so I wanted to send out a welcome to those people. Just jump
on it and start posting. We're pretty much a quiet bunch here, but
I'd love to see this group get going again and have it fairly active.
After a slow start to the season (0-5), the Mets have bounced back,
winning 4 straight games. Too bad Tom got stuck with a no decision
in his second outing, but he pitched great, which is always a plus
to see. Hopefully in his next outing, his great pitching will
continue and luck will be on his side so he can pick up his first
win of the season.
For anyone looking to support one of Tom Glavine's charities (and
see some cute pics of his family) go here:
http://kookoobearkids.com/home.asp
Once you go there, you will se a photo of Tom and his family sitting
on his staircase (it's on the right hand side of the site). Click
on that and it will pull up two pages worth of items.
All proceeds from the green wristband and the Curesearch t-shirt go
to Curesearch, which is an childhood cancer research organization.
And, the rest of the items in this section, some of the proceeds
will go to Curesearch. If you look through the items, you will see
some more photos of Tom and his kids (such cuties!). Anyway,
adorable stuff and it goes to a very good cause.
Also, I see that Yahoo has changed the club look a bit. I love it. I
think it looks a lot better than it used to.
Ok, enough of my rambling. Ya'll jump in! Let's get this started and
have an active message board as Tom inches closer and closer to win
#300!
