Yeah, if he doesn't make the Hall of Fame, then something is
seriously wrong with the voters.
On which team he'll go into the Hall as . . . You know, I really
hate that whole thing. Why does a player have to go into the hall
under a certain team? Especially in this day and age where playing
with several teams is such a common occurence. Why can't you just go
into the Hall under all of them?
I know that sounds so idiotic (lol) but, I just don't know why they
have to choose. Won't you just end up potentially ticking off the
portion of your fan base who followed your career with the team you
didn't pick? Hee. I'm making NO sense, I'm sure.
I'm assuming he'll go in as a Brave, since the majority of his
career and his success was with them. All the cy youngs, all but
one of the All-Star nods, the World Series, etc, etc. And plus he
still makes his home there. Geez, you saw how mad some of the fans
were (and still are) at him leaving the team. Can you imagine if he
went into the Hall as a Met? They'd kill him!
But then again, if he gets his 300th win with the Mets and...who
knows.
I guess I'd assume he'd go in as a brave but, I certainly am not
going to kid myself into think he couldn't conceivably go in as a
Met.
On to spring Training....
yeah, I hope the Mets spring training so far isn't a sign of things
to come. You know, where they've won every single game (except for
one) when Tom Glavine HASN'T pitched and have lost all the games
that he HAS pitched in. (Through no fault of his own). Because
that would be very annoying. I'm crossing my fingers, toes,
eyes, arms, whatever I possibly can, that Tom has an excellent season
this year. I really want to see him bounce back and have a good
season with the Mets.
