The Mets fell to the Braves 5-0 today in Spring Training action. Tim
Hudson got the win for the Braves and Glavine took the loss.
Glavine had his second solid outing in a row this spring, going 3
innings and giving up 4 hits and 2 runs (both unearned). Apparently
after pitching the 3 innings, he finished up throwing in the bullpen
because he was slated to throw 50 pitches (and he had only thrown
32).
I'm glad he's off to a good start so far. (Though it sucks that he
gets the loss when he didn't give up any earned runs. Oh well. Such
is life).
In other news, I LOVE this quote from Bobby Cox that I found in an
article today. This is Bobby's thoughts on Glavine's Hall of Fame
chances:
"He's already got all the credentials right now, even if he never
threw another pitch. He's in. It's 100 percent sure. Absolutely no
doubt."
