Yay! A new person! I hope we can GET the club active this season.
I'll definitely do my part, that's for sure. The group sort of
drifted off into no man's land for a while there but I think we can
get it back on it's feet.
Either that or all of you will just get mighty sick of reading my
blabbering posts constantly. heheh.
So you met Glavine before the Braves run of success? That's so
awesome. He's SUCH a nice guy, isn't he? Real good guy. I met him
a few times back in the '90s but not anytime recently. I'm
definitely going to have to go to one of the Mets/Diamondbacks this
season here in Phoenix. Hopefully Glavine's pitching turn falls on
one of those days so I can see him pitch.
And yeah, the Mets have definitely been active this offseason trying
to improve the club. It's really going to be interesting to see how
it all shapes out. I'm really hoping it goes well for them and
especially Tom. He started out so great last season but, I think
that taxi accident sort of through a bit of a kink into it the
second half of the season. I know he's itching to go out there and
have a really successful season, so I'm crossing my fingers it
happens. And he's SO close to 300 wins.
I'd love to see him get there. If he doesn't, I don't think it
lessens his career any at all, but I know that's a goal of his and
I'd hate for him to get so close and not see it come to fruition.
