Hi! :) No, you're not talking to yourself but I know it must seem
that way. I've been reading the posts you have sent about Tommy's
commentary on the League Division between Atlanta and Houston. I
really appreciate you sending us this information. I will do my best
to try and be a more productive member of this group just as soon as
my sister's wedding is over. It's scheduled for Saturday October
23rd. Now regarding Atlanta, it seems to be the "same ol same ol"
team down there in tomahawk country. Meaning Atlanta does well and
gets into the playoffs but chokes royally in the first round. I think
this is a blatant insult to their fans and they don't deserve it.
Now, I don't think that Bobby Cox needs to go. Not by a long shot.
But the "powers that be" down there in the so-called "front office"
needs to go and they need to go <BIG TIME> I'm mainly talking about
John Scheurholz. (And I'm probably butchering the spelling of the
man's name but right now after the way Atlanta has been playing, I
don't really care! LOL!) If my memory serves me correctly, Atlanta is
now owned by Time Warner which is of course, a corporation.
Corporations only care about one thing and one thing only: money. The
management has made lousy decisions in trading key players and I
don't mean just Tommy either. They've gotten rid of Maddux, Javy
Lopez, and Gary Sheffield just to name a few. I think if the fans in
Atlanta stop going to the games and stop buying merchandise that will
send the proper message to management.
I'm very proud of Tommy and his analysis of the series between
Houston and Atlanta. I hope Tommy has a great season next year and I
hope I haven't angered too many people with my opinion. I just think
that Atlanta has had many chances to recapture the World Series title
they won back in 1995 but have squandered that chance year after
year. Which is sad. Take care~~Angie :)
