He is only one win away from tying the record with Whitey Ford. He
pitched a 2 hit shutout through seven innings to beat the Minnesota
Twins 11-0. He probably could have pitched a complete game shutout
but Cox didn't let him. This win was extra sweet because it was the
first win ever by the Braves in the Metrodome. I hope this inspires
the team this year. Now they've handled the one last old ghost. I'm
hoping that Damian Moss can pitch as well as Tommy did tonight,
tommorow. I would like to see the Braves take the series. The way
Tommy was going tonight, he could have won 1-0 but those extra 10
runs didn't hurt him. Tommy also lowered his ERA to 1.53. Now the
next game Tom has is against Derek Lowe so it will be quite a duel
but Tom has pitched pretty well against the Red Sox in the past so it
should be interesting. GO BRAVES!!
