He tossed a complete game and allowed five hits and one run while
striking out eight and walking none. It was a very high strikeout
ratio for him. He would have had a shutout had it not been for Jose
Vidro's homerun in the top of the ninth. Tommy also lowered his
league leading ERA to 1.59, gained his eight win of the year and
helped tie Atlanta for first place in the NL West. They are 3 games
