Team Judie & the Toe Path Trekkers

We wanted to have an additional meeting and beg some of the organizers and
others for help and ideas, however, time has passed and now it's too late. The
following are Judie Dellerba's thoughts-

1. The application forms must be turned in asap - $10.00 per person — please
make sure you check your t-shirt size.

2. Bake sale this Saturday, May 9 (the day before Mother's Day so there should
be many people out & about) at Big M T 9:00 AM until all is gone. All
contributions would be gratefully appreciated. If you can work that will be a
double bonus.

3. If it doesn't rain, I would also Nice to setup a table at Erwin Park on
Saturday, May 9'h. It's the Torn Maurer tournament; the JV team will be playing
and no vendors. I will purchase some water, soda & chips — I believe that could
be a good money maker for us.

4. My nephew, Trevor is making a table from planks out of the Cunningham house
on Schuyler St, my daughter Kari is making a wooden sign and my sister Karen &
family will be donating a Bath Basket to raffle. I would like each team member
to sell 10 tickets.

5. We would like to have a lottery board — if each team member would donate 2
scratch off tickets, we can put them on a board. We can pass the Board around
and sell tickets — we'll draw the winner at Relay.

6. Team Ducky has a car wash at the V/T offices on May 23rd. I'd like to have a
can drive at the same place/same time. If each member donates 200 cans, that
will raise over $300.00; outsiders will be a great addition.

7. Kathy Lansing has DVDs that she will be handing out to each team — 10/team.
She would like each team to sell the DVDs for $10.00 each (pictures of previous
Relays set to music) with moneys going towards their team.

8. Alan & Donna have offered to donate a basket for the Chinese Auction.

9. The Trekkers will be donating money from the Hot Dog sales on Thursday
nights.

10. Finally we can sell luminaries for $10.00 each in honor or in memory of
people that have survived or died of cancer. They're all so beautiful — it's an
inspiration.

Give Judie a call at 943-2061 with any specific questions to any of the above. -
Ken

Hi Ken,  Sorry I didn't get up for the pizza feed and meeting last Thursday, I still had more packing to do for my run last weekend the Go St. Louis marathon.  This was my fourth marathon this year so far , now I have a month off until I run in Northern Idaho, my 38th state.  I know I owe  dues to the club,  do you have an address I can send them to and what are the dues this year?       Todd  R.  Traxel

Greetings everyone,

While I was out running in the snow last week, it reminded me it was
time for our final meeting of the year.

A club meeting has been set for Wed. Nov 12th at 6:30PM. It will be
held in the Municipal Commission conference room (13169 State Rt 12).
The agenda is the review/report of club activities for the year. Hope
everyone will be able to attend.

While thinking of the snow, it is worth a reminder to everyone, as you
run your individual routes to be especially cautious with the slippery
conditions that winter brings. Remember to run smart and run safe.

Greetings!

I hope the summer has been kind to everyone and that you each have
had an opportuinity to get out and record some pleasurable miles. If
not, do not worry, there is a little summer remaining and let hope
for a great fall.

There was a brief meeting of the Club on Wed evening to discuss the
spaghetti dinner (Thurs 8/14 from 4:00 to 7:00PM). The
following is the event schedule, all members are encourage to assist
where possible.

     1. Setup is to begin at 12noon at the Masonic Temple - food
preparation and table setup through the afternoon.

     2. Serving to begin at 4:00PM - at 3:30 food servers, additional
cooks and people to clear & reset tables should plan to arrive.

     3. 5:30 relief crew for servers ... etc and at 7:00PM members to
assist with cleanup.

Please review your individual schedules and see if you have any time
available - many hands make for light work. Also, anyone having a
large roaster pan (to keep food warm) or an outdoors gas fryer
(suitable to boiler water) please let Al Salmon or me know.

The Town and Country Road Race was also discussed at the meeting. The
correct date is Sunday - Oct 5th and "not" the 12th as I previously
stated. Once again this year Darin and Matt have agreed to co-chair
the event. So mark your calendars.

Hope to see many of you on the 14th for the spaghetti dinner. Good
luck to everyone participating in the Woodsmen's run or walk on the
15th and remember -Run Smart & Run Safe! - Ken

As we head into spring, it time to start planning for the
Club's 2008 events. To assist in this process, there was
a membership meeting held on Feb. 7th. A summary of
established dates are provided below:

• The Club will once again support Team Charlie at the Heart
Run and Walk on March 8th. Members are encouraged to note their
affiliation with Team Charlie at the time of registration.

• On Saturday, April 19th members are asked to participate in
the Canal Clean Sweep – Celebrating Earth Day event. Groups will
walk the canal towpath and clean-up litter and branches. Watch the
newspaper for additional details.

• The Thursday evening Developmental Runs – Walk – Kayak
program will begin on April 24th in Erwin Park and continue through
July 10th.

The date of April 10th is set for the annual Awards Banquet and
business meeting. It will be held at 6:00pm at the Town &Village
Municipal Offices located at 13149 State RT 12 in Boonville. The
Club will provide the pizza; you need only bring your own preferred
beverage. Payment of your 2008 dues can also be done that evening.

In preparation for the banquet, members are reminded they need to
submit their mileage for the year. Jackets will be award to that
member recording their first 1,000 miles running, 500 miles walking
or 500 miles paddling - for kayakers. For other members, chevrons
will be awarded reflecting their accomplishment for the year.
Members must complete the attached form and return it to Ken Stabb
ASAP - but no later than March 3rd.

A new addition to our Thursday evening program will be a weekly
drawing. Each runner, walker or kayaker can submit their name for
the drawing of a gift at the end of the evening. You must be present
to win.

At the completion of our Thursday evening program and during the
Party on July 10th, all new members will be presented their club tee
shirts. For other members, anyone attending at least six (6) of
Thursday evening events will receive a small gift.

As a reminder, reserve April 10th for the awards banquet. Anyone
restless on Sunday mornings, we continue to meeting at the Fitness
Center at 9:00am to run. Hope to see you all soon and remember- Run
Smart! and Run Safe!
