Florida and free agent outfielder Todd Hollandsworth have agreed in
principle to a one-year deal worth $1.5 million, ESPN.com reported.
Hollandsworth, 29, will fill the outfield spot left open by Eric
Owens' move to Anaheim. In 2002, Hollandsworth hit .284 with 16 home
runs and 67 RBI in 134 games for Colorado and Texas. He can play
first base, third base, and all three outfield positions.

Providing that no other moves are made, Hollandsworth would likely
compete for the center field spot with Juan Pierre. However, this
signing could signal that the Marlins are looking to move Kevin
Millar or another player.
