As it's my birthday next Tuesday, the 8th, I'll suggest meeting at the Bitter
End as I can't think of a better bunch of drunkards/
drunkardesses to spend the evening with. By way of inducement I'll buy the first
couple of pitchers and I'll organize some natchos.
They do have an open mike at the BE on Tuesdays but the meeting shouldn't take
all that long I would imagine.
BTW. This isn't intended to influence the vote. Just a one-off.
Let me know what you think.
Cheers.
Rick

For the record-
I still don't know if I'm going to El Paso or not.
I do know that, if I go to El Paso, there's no way I'd make it to
Portland the next weekend.
I can't imagine anyone else coming along, though I certainly wouldn't
mind taking anyone who could make it to Boise. Thing is, the time I
could take off work = very little.
The itinerary is something I pulled off rather well 10 years ago (I've
done worse), but now, well... I'd actually have to leave Mountain Home
(work site) in the afternoon Friday. My current idea is to pull the car
over for a couple hours in the general middle of nowhere (eastern Utah,
probably), repeat a few miles down the road, then continue on through,
um, lovely Farmington, New Mexico on the way to Albuquerque and El Paso
(might have enough time in this plan to detour to lovely Santa Fe). If I
get a room in El Paso, I'd either literally be out by 3 am to get back to
Boise, or out by 7 to get far enough that I can make work relatively on
time Monday morning. Well, I am looking over a route that's a little
longer, but (1) goes through Las Vegas, and (2) has less "twist-and-turn"
miles than the "straighter" route.
Am I better off just going to Portland a week later?
TIIMMMMMMMMMMMMBERRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSS!!!
Paul
Good to see so many fans in the Shed! I do hope they keep
showing up to the games. I had four guy's off my team sit in the
shed for the second game in a row. So I am getting really
pumped about the showing. Paul is talking road trip next
Saturday. Not good for me as I am throwing a party! Maybe Paul
can come to Portland! It would be great if he can. Need
directions for my party post or e-mail. Things are going really
well. Maybe this group will get bigger. Last season's star at
midfeild Mr. O'neil is part of our group and may want to do a chat.
Mick if you see this let me know about a Chat as I know there is a
big time differance.
Till next time.
Kurt
