That's right folks, the 2004 Tour de Fat is this Saturday (Sept 18th,
Seymour Smith Park 72nd & Harrison SE Corner of the park). This years
events start with a bike parade up to Elmwood park and back.
Registrations begins at 10:30 a.m. and the ride starts at 11:00 a.m.
We plan to be back at the Seymour Smith park around noon for the
festival which will include 2 bands a New Belgium beer tent, food, a
cruiser bike give away and much much more. If you are planning on
riding in the bike parade, get crazy and decorate your bike and your
self, there may be prizes for the best costume/bike.
$5.00 donation for the bike parade with 100 percent of the cash going
to the MS Society, 100 percent of the beer sales and a percent of the
mechandise will also go to a charitable cause.
I'm still looking for a few volunteers to help set up around 9am
Saturday moring and tear down around 6:30 p.m. Let me know if you can
help.
