Thanks to everyone for your well wishes for the Montana throw :-) I sure wish
all of you could be here tomorrow. I look forward to the day when I have
finally met all of you in person.
The seminar today was wonderful. Everyone had a really good time and learned a
lot. We started at 10:00AM and really didn't completely end until after 7:00PM
when we finally had time to try a little throwing from horseback. It's quite a
bit different throwing down to the target. I think I should have been
practicing more rabbit throwing beforehand! Still we managed to stick a few
knives at the walk and trot. My horseback archery friend, Tom, worked on trying
to stick a hawk at the canter and while he didn't get a stick, he had several
near misses. Joe worked his tail off making sure everyone got lots of attention
and made lots of progress. My archery horse, Dominic, couldn't have been more
patient with the whole thing.
I'll let you know how the tournament goes tomorrow. In the meantime I thought
you might get a kick out of reading the article our local newspaper wrote about
our professor, Joe Darrah. Go to http://ravallirepublic.com and click on the
green "More Features" button and then "Knife throwing flies into Hamilton" to
read the article.
