There are so many reasons to be concerned--Angelos
will do something drastic. He has had no experience
losing on major issues, and his greed has been
described as "unimaginable" by several prominent
Maryland legislators. He is singlehandedly
jeopardizing MLB's antitrust exemption; the question
is, does Congress care enough to get involved? Jack
Evans knows or suspects the city is being toyed with
again. If you have observed this situation for any
amount of time, its really hard not to be cynical. MLB
and the Orioles should be ashamed of themselves, but
they are not. I find Thomas Boswell's silence of late
on this issue to be deeply disturbing...That being
said--I hope I am WRONG!
