I guess Hagerstown will be playing next year afterall.

I hope they are not moving to Charles County as talked about earlier here.

Suns and New York Mets Partner

Teams sign two-year Player Development Agreement

The Hagerstown Suns and the New York Mets have signed a new two-year Player
Development Agreement. The agreement marks the end of a four-year agreement
the Suns had previously with the San Francisco Giants.

"We're thrilled to announce this news," said Suns General Manager Kurt Landes.
"We knew going into this process that the Mets have a very strong and successful
Minor League system. That, coupled with the closer geography, made this an easy
decision. I think our fans will be very pleased."

The Mets were previously affiliated with the Capital City Bombers of the South
Atlantic League. The 2004 Bombers made the playoffs and swept the semi-finals
series before losing in the Championship Finals to Hickory.

"We're happy to be in Hagerstown," said Kevin Morgan, Director of Minor League
Operations for the Mets. "Their operations are run in a first-class manner and
it's going to be great for our players to play in the atmosphere there. We're
looking forward to a long partnership."

The San Francisco Giants will stay in the South Atlantic League, as they have
signed a two-year Player Development Agreement with the Augusta GreenJackets.
The Suns were affiliated with the Baltimore Orioles from 1981 to 1992 and with
the Toronto Blue Jays from 1993-2000 before affiliating with the Giants the past
four years.

The Suns are owned by Mandalay Baseball Properties of Los Angeles, California.
Ticket plans and sponsorships are available by contacting the Suns at
301.791.6266.
