My name is Charlie Morrison. I'm a graduate student at
George Mason University, studying professional writing
and editing. I need some help with a project I've just
undertaken. I'm going to try to write a historical
fiction story based on some facet of the real history
of the Washington Senators. Its going to be an
original writing, but it has to be based on concrete
historical fact. I'm trying to figure out what moment
during the Senators' history would be the most
interesting to write about. I've thought about either
when Clark Griffith was debating whether to integrate,
while faced with struggling attendance in the
post-Depression era. Or possible the moment Calvin
Griffith finally moved the team. Either way I'm, at
this point, fairly ignorant about the team's history.
I'm interested in possibly talking to some folks
who've spent time in Griffith Stadium as I'm going to
write the story using as many authentic sights and
sounds of Griffith Stadium as I can. Any help you can provide is
greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Charlie Morrison
