Since Ted Williams was the manager of the Senators, I thought this might be of

Please make a note on your calendar of a planned TED WILLIAMS WEEKEND to be held
Saturday, September 11, and Sunday, September 12, 2004 at the National Baseball
Hall of Fame in Cooperstown NY.
Right now the weekend has no defined structure, so ideas are most welcome. If
you might be able to attend, please think about ways in which you might like to
participate and what you might feel most comfortable about contributing.

It is my hope that we will be able to present in a number of media, ranging from
the presentation of papers to the showing of film footage of Ted Williams in
action. Papers that are presented will be considered for a probably
post-weekend publication. Please think of topics which you might like to
address.

I will be back in touch as the event takes more shape - but your input will help
shape the weekend, so please take this as an initial invitation to either "think
big" and maybe come up with an inspired idea or two, or to "think small" and
suggest a defined topic on which you might like to write.
