Re: [The Washington Senators] Dunn

His batting average is 264 as of Sunday night, 7-05.

If you did not have Ryan Zimmerman or Christian Guzman, he would be the
Nationals representative most likely.

He reminds me of Frank Howard, lots of HR's, ave. fielding, average batting
average.

but he might get in as I think I heard that someone selected might not go.

Mike

I like Dunn, but Frank Howard definitely hit for a significantly higher average. Hondo was in .290s twice with the Nats and once with L.A. His .274 in '68 --...

Art, I looked up Howard's batting records and he is way better than Dunn, as having Dunn on a team is not bad at all, but Howard deserved to be on the All Star...

Mike, Yeah, I am not saying Dunn is a bad player, just not as good as Hondo was. Plus, another thing people don't realize -- many of Howard's years were played...

Dunn has more HR and a higher OPS than Ryan Howard. He belongs on the All-Star team at least as much as Howard does. Tim [Non-text portions of this message...

Tim, You made a great point as Ryan Howard is batting 254. I now agree the Dunn deserves to be in the game over Ryan Howard. Mike ... From: Tim Phares To: No...

I hope that we can persuade them to give him Beltran's spot. Beltran is injured and won't be able to play. I'd even sacrifice Guzman winning the online vote...
