Sad news, indeed. Eddie B. was one of Frank Howard's closest friends,
if I remember correctly. Wow. Makes me feel very old suddenly to read
of Eddie B. death.

Just read that Ed Brinkman died, way too young. He was an amazing fielder, deserving of more than one Gold Glove he received (and as a Tiger!). Ted Williams...

Andy, the Post did a great obit for Eddie, two columns worth. Joe Holley, the Post writer did a great job and emphasized his fielding ability. He reminded us...

He was as good of a person as one can imagine... When I saw him at one of the Natsfests a few years ago, he looked like he could still play.  He never forgot...
