Another recent death was that of pitcher Sid Hudson, who played for
the Senators from 1940 to 1952 and spent a few years after that with
the Red Sox. Hudson was a pitching coach for the expansion Senators
under Ted Wiliams.

Just read that Ed Brinkman died, way too young. He was an amazing fielder, deserving of more than one Gold Glove he received (and as a Tiger!). Ted Williams...

Andy, the Post did a great obit for Eddie, two columns worth. Joe Holley, the Post writer did a great job and emphasized his fielding ability. He reminded us...

He was as good of a person as one can imagine... When I saw him at one of the Natsfests a few years ago, he looked like he could still play.  He never forgot...
