I remember it well and my attitude was outright indignation with a
heaping of jealousy thrown in on top. Remember, we were the proud
possessors of Senators when the Twins won the W.S. Team #2 much like
the present one had too many over-the hillguys and way too many
unproven minor leaguers. I remember well before the 1960 season,
Wow! with guys like Battey, Zorro and this new kid coming up, Jim
Kaat, the Senators are on the right road. Little did I know that
road was charted for Minnesota. Senators

I just realized that the Twins won the AL pennant in 1965 in only their 5th year in Minnesota. After a franchise dry spell going back to 1933. I also notice...
