Retring Howard's 33 would be a nice gesture, although I wouldn't
advocate involving the Rangers. He no longer holds that franchise's
single-season or career HR records, and he did nothing once they left
DC. Also, let's keep in mind that Hondo wore 9 from '65-'68 before he
yielded it to Ted.
