Re: [The Washington Senators] Need help identifying a Senators player.
Casey Stengel once remarked, in his wonderful Stengelese, about the amazin'
players he had with the fledgling (and amazin') NY Mets. "Got a nice young
fella here, name of Greg Goosen, just twenty years old, and in ten years he's
got a chance to be thirty years old."
Hi Art,
That's Greg Goosen, formerly of the Mets and the great Seattle pilots. He hit
.305 with 10 homers with the Pilots in about 150 at bats. When the Nats
aquired him from the Brewers in 1970,he only hit.241 with 6 doubles and 0
homers
in his brief stay. He is currently an actor and I remember that he had a
small part in "Get Shorty. It's still a great photo. Take care my friend!

Hello all, and welcome to 2008. An acquaintence of mine down in St. Mary's
County recently won a photograph of a Senators player on eBay. The photo was
advertised to be Joe Grzenda (which it obviously is not) but I am stumped as I
don't recognize this guy. You can check out the photo
