Something I sent to a website in the food service distribution business, that
reflects some Aaramark workers after a baseball game in Washington, DC. Not a
good reflection on the vendor for the stadium.

While leaving a Washington Nationals baseball game, today, Saturday, afternoon,
June 10, a police officer was directing traffic and then letting people cross
the street, when he would stop traffic.
While we were at the crosswalk, waiting for him to let us go across, several
people in blue shirts, with the word "Aarmark" on there backs, as I am assuming
they are Aaramark workers at the stadium, as Aaramark is the vendor at RFK
Stadium for the Nationals. These workers felt that they had the right to start
crossing the crosswalk anytime they felt like it. The officer saw them
attempting to cross, against his holding people back, as cars and a Metro bus
where coming right for them. Sadly, a lady was killed the day before by a
Metro bus somewhere else in DC. The officer told them to get back on the
sidewalk, as one of the Aaramark worker, a woman, told the officer, she could
hear him and that she was not deaf. Then, they started again, as he was still
letting cars through. He told them to get back and then, this nice Aaramark
lady worker, started to mumble something, accented with "F*** you, you take your
work too seriously, F*** You " and so on. Well, yes, people do need to take
their work seriously, as if something was to happen to this Aaramark worker,
that officer would be in allot of trouble. Plus to be mouthing off at a police
officer doing his job or anyone else, with the word "Aaramark on there back, is
not a good thing for Aaramark. Maybe Sodexho, might get the very profitable
concession account, all due to a very smart Aaramark worker and the image that
Aaramark might get due to workers like these.
I hope Aaramark is a smart company and reads Foodservice Rumors so that they can
see what a fine job in the community their workers due when off the clock. I
wonder how they handle customers paying 5 buck for a soda that cost them almost
nothing.
Oh sadly, the Nat's lost 6 to 2 to the Phillies.
Go Nats! Tomorrow is another day for them, you, me and Aaramark.
Now isn't this better food news than the bashing of SYSCO, USF and anyone else.
