All my years as a Senators fan make me fear that the sudden and
seemingly easy success of the Nationals might spoil the new fans, ala
Milwaukee when the Braves moved there and quickly won two pennants. I
know DC is a much bigger market, so I hope this model isn't repeated.
But the Nats have seem to win ALL the close ones and when they lose,
it's by a good enough margin that you don't pull your hair out. It's
almost surreal.

And Chad Cordero. Oh my lord! A lock for the All Star team, he would
have just one blown save if it weren't for a bad throw by Guzman with
2 outs in the 9th. (OK, so he did load the bases with nobody out -- he
still would have gotten out of it.)

I just hope Guillen doesn't go crazy over all the home runs RFK is
costing him.

But geez, is this unreal or what!!!
