Definately wait.....you have nothing but time.
You will be able to work on your flexiblity during
the wait, do some light weight movements, and
possibly jog. Make sure you consult your DR. before this.
If you were in any kind of good shape before this,
you wont have too much longer to wait before you are
back at it!

Thanks for all the advice! I will take it easy
for now. I really want to run and my team says they
miss me a lot. I used to run on the 4 X 400m but now
the girls on the realy say its gonna suck til' I come
back. That really does not help me feel better. That
makes me want to run more. But when I get better I will
improve my 59.88 personal record. Well Thanks again.

My advice is to wait, wait, wait! You have to let
your body heal. There's no telling how long it will
take to heal. I would consult with your doctor or a
local athletic trainer before you do anything. Make
sure that you feel absolutely 100% before you do
anything. You do not want to do some permanent damage to
yourself by rushing back. Again, I implore you to see your
physician. Take care and God Bless

it is pretty much gonna come down to
preference...if u like the shoe, u will feel better when u have
them on, and in turn i think u are gonna run
faster...just a mind game. i have the super fly p's...the royal
blue ones and a black speed suit...so when i am out
there i am feeling fast...and hopefully it will
convert!

I run the 400m, 200m and 4 X 400m. My school does
not have indoor track. So we do pre-season
conditioning. I did the conditioning for 3 weeks. On Jan. 27th,
I went to the hospital b/c my appendix burst. I am
at home from school right now but I go back on March
7th. Our first track meet is on March 20th. DO you
think I will be able to run? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!

Since the outdoor season is starting up in a
couple weeks, I need to find a new pair of spikes. Only
problem is I’m thinking about getting the Nike Zoom Super
Fly P Plus’s, but they weigh 8.1 ounces... Think that
is too much? Last year the ones I had were 6 ounces
and they were fine. Do you think that is much of a
difference anyway?

I read my own post and said, "what the hell did I
just say?".......I meant....you hold the breath on the
"set" command, gun goes, you react and get out about
10m or so, take a quick breath and hold throughout
the rest of the race. Hope this helps.

I have a good question for all of you. How many breaths do you take in the 55/60
meter dash? I take only 1. I exhale and then take 1. Any opinions? Please post

Personally, I definately think that you should go
for it. I am running a 6.98 in the 60 and I am still
getting into shape. So if I can go for every meet because
I am excited to see what I'm capable of doing, I
definately think that you should go for it. I think you have
the passion and drive for it. Go for it and God
bless..
Highlander21007.....

ok i dont know what happened with the last
post...but anyway, it was good comp all the way around. the
fastest time on the day was a .82 and that was ran by
robert esmie from the 96 OG gold medal team from canada.

we were under ncaa rules and i false started but
they didnt call me on it...whew. so that meant that i
had to sit back and he pretty much had it out of the
blocks. so now i am trying to decide if i am gonna go to
idaho to run in moscow to see if i can qualify for
nationals... .14 off of the needed qualifying time...so tell
me...should i go for it???

Got it checked out. It's just tendentious, no big
deal. No leg work though for 2 weeks... have to ice em
with a lot of moltrin. I've been doing a lot of
workouts that deal with strengthing of ligements and
tendons.. so that was probably the cause

Lots of muscles are associated w/ the knee joint.
Therefore, if you have tight, under or over developed muscle
areas.....this can cause strain on the knees and possibly other
areas. The therapist should give you a bunch of
stretching areas to work.
