HEY GUYS. THIS IS JUSTEN. THANKS FOR THE WELCOME AND SHARING THE INFORMATION.
JUST SO EVERBODY KNOWS, I AM A HUGE ATO FAN. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO SIT AND TALK
WITH HE AND SOME OTHER AMERICAN SPRINTERS FOR OVER AN HOUR. I WAS SITTING RIGHT
BEHIND THEM AT THE TEXAS RELAYS LAST YEAR. THE MEET IS RUN AT MIKE A. MYERS
STADIUM IN AUSTIN TEXAS, AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN. I GOT TO
MEET,GREET,AND CONVERSATE WITH JON DRUMMOND,CHRISTIE GAINES,INGER MILLER,MAURICE
GREEN, AND ATO BOLDEN. ATO WAS JUST AN ALL AROUND GREAT GUY. HE WAS FUNNY,
HUMBLE, AND JUST REALLY DOWN TO EARTH, AS WERE THE REST OF THE SPRINTERS, WITH
THE EXCEPTION OF MAURICE. NO SURPRISE, HE HAS VERY RARELY BEEN HUMBLE. BUT I
RESPECT ATO THE MOST BECAUSE HE HAS BEEN PRO FOR SO LONG. IT'S REALLY
INSPIRATIONAL TO KNOW THAT HE RAN IN THE OLYMPIC TRIALS AT 18. HOPE TO HEAR FROM
EVERYBODY SOON.
HOLLA BACK.
ONE LOVE.
JUSTEN BAPTISTE

Ato is in Paris, France, and to say he has been struggling in his
first 3 Euro races would be an understatement. The time off while
he healed his right leg has left him healthy by human standards but
not quite in sub 10 100m shape. Ato has not been down at all,
despite no race faster than 10.30 or 20.77, since he knows that it's
about the Worlds, given his setbacks this year. HE is, after all,
the person who started poorly in 10.3 in South Africa in 2001 and
ran 9.88 the same year and earned a top 5 ranking in the world in
the 100m. We're looking at the upside: 1. No-one is running THAT
fast right now, with only 2 men under 10 for the year, and only one
in the last 2 months. 2. A healthy Ato has always been able to
figure it out eventually, form- wise. 3. The Worlds are not until
the end of August 4. Ato has started to run 200s again, which,
although not fast by his standards, will get his racing closer to
normal. It's always been that way. If you are an Ato fan, let's
see if you stay on the bandwagon - if you have faith. He does - and
that can't be tested when things are going greatly.
After Paris on Friday July 3, Ato will train with his team-mates in
Monaco, Monte Carlo, until Wednesday, and then head to Rome, before
some re-tuning in Los Angeles and the second half of Europe and then
the World Championship in beautiful Paris, France
