Ato is in Rome, Italy preparing to get back to Ato-like 100m times.
Everyone has been talking about his poor start to season 2002, but
Ato has been around since 1995, running sub 10's and 20's, doubling
at every major championships, while everyone else came and went out
with injuries etc etc. He is the only man in the 1996 Olympic 100m
and 200m final that made it back to both finals in 2000, for
example. That has taken its toll. He has been suffering with a bad
back, which has hampered his times, but he has pulled out of his last
two meets to rest it. After seven straight years of top 3 in the
world sprinting, the doubters are out in full force, as is always the
case. Ato says this next race is for them, on Friday in Rome. We'll
