Yes, you have encouraged me to take the tone that
had been taken! Your apology has been accepted. And,
furthermore, an image is truly YOURS when you have been
responsible for taking the picture in the first place - which
I am sure you did not.
You should also keep in
mind that before you call anyone who has been hyped by
the media, "exemplary", chances are you really do not
know that person. No, I am not putting Mr. Reeves down
in any way. The media is continuously prepetuating
images. You probably knew Mr. Reeves about as well as a
can of paint, but you did know his image though. Some
find George Washington exemplary, but he had a manor
built for his prostitutes! (Just an example.) A piece
of advice: WHEN YOU CENTER A CLUB, OR SOMETHING
SIMILAR, AROUND SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN HYPED SO INTENSELY
FOR HIS BODY - especially when donning posing outfits
and skimpy mini-togas - YOU INVITE MANY DIFFERENT
ANGLES OF APPRECIATION, SOME YOU MAY NOT BE CONTENT
WITH. Let's face it, the producers of Reeves's films
knew very well that if they put him in the outfits he
wore, MANY people would take a gander. Even today, a
lot of the postings I see about Reeves would be of
the demeanor you would find "smutty." Please
understand that if this is what one is used to, then that
person is prepetually more desensitized. If you wish to
establish a demeanor in which people should post pics and
messages, then unfortunately you may have to let them know
when they enter your club or site. NOTE: That is much
more fair than having them browse their e-mail only to
find out that there is possible consideration for them
to be banned for something that they didn't intend
to offend anyone for!
What you call "nasty" may
be more of a compliment to others, especially on
some messages boards and sites. I understand, from
your message, that this is NewWelch's board and such.
But like I said, when you are focusing on someone who
was popularized for their physique, you're much more
likely to encounter more types of views - referring to
the carnal sort.
I shall go to an AMERICAN site
now, where I can appreciate Reeves in an environment
where I am comfortable, where it isn't so stuffy!
