A variety of ways, all effective:
1. small meals, more often. (five to six a day, but
never overeating.)
2. He did lengthening ab exercises, like hanging ab
raises, which stretch the torso, and help keep the
abdominal wall flatter.
3. Never used weight when doing any ab work, (Like
Jack Lalane and other old-time trainers etc)
The logic was "why add weight to an ab exercise,
weight builds muscle, muscle add's size, and size on
the ab's isn't what we want, we want them flat."
