Short and sweet - went through the mile in 6:10 hurting, hurting hurting.  Calf

has still not fully recovered from the Sunburst 1/2 mara.



So I wisely stepped to the side, waited for my girl friend and walk in with her.



Disappointed - yes.  Smart - probably.  Been awhile since I DNF.  Hopefully,

this next two weeks will allow me to recover completely.  Just got to be smart.



Keep on running.

I guess I missed your 1/2 Mara.. report.  How did you do?  It seems like you

have run some other fast 5k's recnetly.



I enjoyed running with daughter, thanks.  I do remember your race reports about

running with your son.

COACH:



I won the 60-64 AG in the Sunburst 1/2 mara... but ran the final 2 1/2 miles on

a bad left calf.  Stopped several times to rub it which slowed me down to a

1:31.  It is still sore.  RICE - rest, ice, compression and elevation is

starting to work.  Might even try to race again this weekend.  More later.
