Re: [TheRoadsScholar] Re: Thursday Track Work out

You are welcome.  Anytime.  As I said, I admire your perseverance. :)

Looks like maybe the next race will be a 5k next Sat, weather permitting.  I have been working hard and I want to see if I have made some gains... I hope so.  I think so... Tonight I was on my way back from a 7 miler.  Decided to time my last mile and see where my perceived effort scale was, as it got pretty messed up while I was injured.

So I was running what I thought was about 7:20-15 pace.  Checked the watch and it was actually 6:40.  So steps are headed in the right direction...  A race would help me better determine it though.

Next big goal race is May 5th.  12k.  It's the one I run every year and would sure like to run a fast time.  I ran decently last year (6:11s) but I would like to get close to that... We'll see I guess.  Just keep my head down and keep working.

Thanks for asking.  Can't wait til we can guzzle a couple of dark beers after a race sometime. :)

-lisa m. :)
