I went to the podiatrist today and we are going to be working on agressive course to get rid of this issue once and for all ( I hope) unfortunately I won't be running for about 8 weeks, till the end of the year. That's ok as long as I will be able to run pain free again, I look forward to the day!
First of all my calfs are really tight which is a major cause of this problem and my heel is really inflammed as he pushed down onto my heel and I almost went through the ceiling. He gave me a shot of cortisone for fast reduction of inflammation and also I will be taking Celebrex for the next 12 days. We put in a referral for a night splint and really work on stretching. I also will be getting a massage in the heel and another shot of cortisone in 3 weeks. He told me that 90% of the people after 6-8 weeks have a full recovery. The man issue though for me is not to run on it all. Just cross train.
So that is the prescription and I will stick to it so as the new year starts I too will be starting fresh again and injury free

Thanks for listening and caring,
Lynn
