College Football is the best. Each week, the "Prophet" attempts to pick the winners of 15-20 big college football contests. But, this isn't your everyday prognostication column. Big brother, and all of his sleazy, rotten cousins ARE watching.



The Prophet tries to gain some level of knowledge for the coming football season on his summer vacation. This year's travels led all the way to, literally, the ends of the earth. We went Down Under, and had fabulous time in Australia. You'll never find any friendlier hosts, so put Oz on your future plans. One of our stops was at Steve Irwin's (THE CROCODILE HUNTER himself) Australia Zoo. This special place is located about 50 miles north of Brisbane, on the Glass Mountain Tourist Highway....near a little burgh called Beerwah. In the accompanying photo, Mr. Pachyderm seems to be taking issue with my so-so prediction for University of Alabama football in 2005. OK OK, not entirely true. Oh, I think the Tide will still be "out", so to speak....but the elephant couldn't have cared less. He was just king-size PO'd because I'd run out of apples to feed him. As an extra note to my readers....when hanging out with elephants, watch out for their trunks.



Now everyone knows that elephants have great memories. Hopefully this will be another memorable college football campaign. WELCOME BACK !
