thanks so much for the update...but its kind of sad to hear about
Peter not being able to make it back up to the big leagues...oh well,
there is always next year! =)
Peter was sent down after a horrible start to the
season. The club decided they wanted him to spend the
entire season in Ottawa (Montreal's AAA) to work on his
bunting, basestealing and general approach at the
plate. He did fairly well at the plate (batted in the
.290s), but didn't show much improvement in the other
areas they were hoping for. He was considered for a
September call-up, but in the end was passed over. The
Expos hope he will play winter ball and come into
Spring Training ready to fight for a job.

I think Peter is in Montréal's minor league system. I don't remember, but I
think he was sent down in favor of Brad Wilkerson??

Tank, Cards, tank!
I apologize, I haven't even been following Peter's whereabouts over
the last couple of months...does anyone know if he's still in the
minors or not? Aand what will happen once the Expos are no longer an
MLB team? LoL thanks and hopefully one of you can help me out and
fill me in on whats been going on. =)
Yeah, it's cute and I like it a lot :) He's definitely the cutie of
the team, along with Mike Barrett, well if you have a thing for
blondes :) The new colors remind me a bit of those ugly uniforms they
had in the eighties, though. Oh, well, one ugly uniform out of the
three they had in the three decades they played in Montreal, I'm not
going to complain too much about it! I can't wait until they call
Peter from the minors: I've bee to two games already and he wasn't
there... It was fun today with their seventies uniforms and all the
flashbacks on the giant screen, not to mention the organ music :) Did
I mention that I had a great time, even if my hands are still sore
from all that clapping and my throat is probably going to hurt like
hell tomorrow from all the screaming? Hence, all the smileys :)

Many of you have probably seen this one before but I thought it was
time for a change. The other picture of Peter signing autographs was
from August of last year! Not to mention, but the new club picture

I hope all of you like the little changes I made to the club...like
the colors and stuff. I decided, "why not make them Expos colors
even though I'm a Padres fan?!" lol I luv ya Peter! =)
Hey!
It's your founder here Jeanette a.k.a. "padreschic". Its really
great to see this Peter Bergeron club/group growing slowly but surely
over the past couple of months since baseball season has started. I
want to thank those of you who post keeping us updated about Peter,
especially for those of us who don't live in or near Montreal. I was
able to catch one of the Padres/Expos games back on May 13 but I was
really bummed because Peter was still down in AAA. It sucks because
that was the only time that the Expos will be coming to San Diego so
I'm not going to be able to see him play in person the rest of the
year. =( oh well. If he hadn't had been sent down to the minors I
probably would have gone to all 3 games in the series and would've
been able to take more great pictures of Mr. Begeron himself just
like I did last year, but once again I can't change anything in the
past. Well keep us all (especially me!) updated on the whereabouts
of Peter and how he's doing and once again I welcome everyone who has
decided to make me happy and join this Peter Bergeron Club!

On May 26th, Gen. Admission is only 1$, and the 'spos are wearing their old 70s
uniforms... So there's another opportunity to see some great cheap baseball!
(And hopefully, Peter will be back by then!)

I know Peter got sent to the minors and all but tonight (Sat. May 11)
there is a promotion and all the seats, except for the VIP section,
are 5$ and hot dogs are 1$. Think about it, it's a 21$ rebate on Box
Seats! It's the only time it will happen this season. There will be a
few Student Nights (6$ for General Admission w/student card) and
Ladies Night(50% off on Box Seat, Terrace and General Admission), but
nothing as cheap!

He got sent down for a variety of reasons... He had a lot of strikeouts, a very
low batting average (.189) and his walks all but disappeared. But don't worry,
the club hasn't given up on him, they just want him to work on some stuff where
there's less pressure (AAA). (Also, after sending him down last year, he came
back with a 19 game hit-streak... )

Not much, just got out of end-of-semester frenzy. Right now, all I do
is sleeping and catching-up on many things like books I wanted to
read for months, participation in forums(some are just too productive
to miss even a week, not like here *wink*) and updating my websites.
I haven't been to an ball game yet, but I intend to go a few times in
May, especially since they seem to play such exciting games there
nowadays.
Thanks for the article on the tsn website, even if I had read it
before on rds.ca, their french couterpart! Thinking of it, maybe I
should go through the french press to see what they got and translate
it if it's not available elsewhere, think it's a good idea?

SEE A DIFFERENT GAME
Peter Bergeron's batting average hovers around the .200 mark, yet his on-base
percentage is close to .400. In 2001, it was .275. The biggest difference is
that Bergeron
is, for the most part, laying off the breaking pitches he used to turn into weak
infield
groundouts or opposite-field shallow fly balls. He has been receptive to the
message
sent by Robinson and hitting coach Tom McCraw -- you have a knack of scoring
runs, so
get on base no matter how you do it. When Bergeron wasn't swinging the bat, at
least
he was scoring. He had 17 walks in his first 58 at-bats -- after getting 28
walks all of
2001, in 375 at-bats. And when opportunities presented themselves recently to
drive in
runs, he turned on several fastballs and got the job done.

Hi there!
I'm a baseball fan from Montreal but sadly, I'll probably leave town
before the first of July, just a little while before the Expos do...
A shame really...
I'm going to a few games every year and I'm a big fan of all the
players, including the center of interest of this club. If I have a
chance to go to the Olympic Stadium before I leave town, I'll try to
remember to take a few pictures for you all!
Unfortunately, the Expos aren't making a trip to Boston this year.
Sigh. So i will be relying on people like you to take lost of
pictures!!!

Yeah, you're right- better late than never! =) Well hey if you ever
get to see the Expos this year in year home town, please take
pictures and post them in the group/club, k?! It's cool to know that
I'm not the only one who knows that Peter Bergeron exists and that
he's such a HOTTIE! LOL...I'll be sure to put up more pictures after

Hi Jen- this response is way late, but I figured
that it was better late than never! I first saw Peter
when I went to Montreal for a weekend- I went to an
Expos-Cubs game. I thought he was pretty hot, and noticed he
was from Massachusetts (I am from Boston) and so I
thought that was pretty cool, too! I became a sort of
closet Expos fan after my trip to that Expos games (not
just because of Peter).
Hey y'all- well I was checking out the SD Padres'
new 2002 regular season schedule, and Peter and the
Montreal Expos will be coming to San Diego on May 13, 14,
and 15! Hopefully I can get more good pictures of
Peter and post them all on here for all of you to see.
Who knows- maybe I'll get another autograph or two!
Feel free to post any pictures if any of you are able
to catch him at a ballpark near you.

Late,
~*~Jeanette~*~
I just wanted to thank all of you for joining
this Peter Bergeron club! I know there aren't that
many of you, but I was just wondering how all of you
discovered him? I happened to notice Peter at a SD Padre
baseball game and ever since have tried (and succeeded!)
to go down on the field and get close enough to take
pictures when the Montreal Expos come to town. With
baseball season slowly approaching, I was wondering if any
of you could catch him at a baseball game near you
and take pictures to post on this club? I'd also LOVE
to have Peter check this club/site out himself to
see how much of a fan I am of his! Thanks!

*Jen*-padreschic

P.S. Feel free to post/write to me in this club;
I'll
try my best to update it as often as I can.
Hey- I was wondering, too, where "home"
was...where do you go to hight school? Peter is from Western
Massachusetts, so I'm curious! He's quiet the cutie!!! I am
first saw him at a game in Montreal (I'm from
Massachusetts) and was hoked when I saw he was a "local"
boy!

Happy holidays everyone!!!!! :)
Hey what's up?! I'm Jen, the founder of "The
Peter Bergeron Club", and sorry its taken me awhile to
reply to your message. OMG that is soooo cool that you
saw Peter at your school! He must've looked soooo
good. Do you go to school near montreal or something?
Be sure to let me know what happens at that store
he's supposed to be greeting people at, k?! =D Talk to
ya guys later...
Yesterday i was walking out of basketball
practice when i see peter bergeron speaking at our
school's football banquet. i almost started crying he is
sooooo gorgeous!!! he is also gonna be greeting ppl at a
store in my town in a couple weeks i cant' wait!! i'm
sooooo glad he's home!!
Thanks to everyone who participated in the website black-out to remember those
who we have lost last Tuesday. I will be adding new pictures of Peter
soon!

*PadresChic*
