ONTREAL (AP) - Adam Graves scored less than two
minutes into overtime Thursday night, lifting the New
York Rangers to a 5-4 win over the Montreal Canadiens
in NHL exhibition action. Graves skated around the
Montreal net and fired a low shot from the right circle to
beat goaltender Jose Theodore. Vincent Damphousse's
goal with less than two minutes left in the third
period tied the game at 4-4 after the Rangers rallied to
take a 4-3 lead. Wayne Gretzky scored twice, while Esa
Tikkanen and Kevin Stevens also scored for the Rangers
(3-3-1). Igor Ulanov, Shayne Corson and Jonus Hoglund also
scored for the Habs (3-5).
