Alana Beard Basketball Clinic


The National Cathedral School is pleased to present the First Annual
Alana Beard Basketball Clinic: Empowering Young Women through Sports.
This three-day

clinic will be offered Friday, October 28 (6 pm-9 pm), Saturday,
October 29 (9 am-12 pm), and Sunday, October 30 (12 pm-3 pm). Some of
the area's best coaches and players will be here with Alana Beard to
teach and work with the girls. Players of all levels will have a
challenging opportunity to develop and improve their skills. The
clinic will reinforce the life lesson that hard work, preparation,
diligence and passion for all that you do leads to self-empowerment
and personal success. Fledgling basketball players will benefit as
much as more experienced players.



The Alana Beard Basketball Clinic: Empowering Young Women through
Sports

will be held in the Agnes C. Underwood Athletic Center on the grounds
of the

National Cathedral.

Each session will begin with greetings and an introduction by Alana
and will include a variety of skill lessons, drills, and games
designed to teach and improve all levels of play. The fun and joy of
the game will be contagious! Players will receive valuable feedback
to help them build on their strengths and recognize areas of
weakness. Players should wear comfortable clothes and sneakers with
non-marking soles. Participants will receive complimentary water
bottles and t-shirts. Guest appearances, contests and gifts for all
of the girls will make each session special.

Clinic attendees- Girls, Ages 6-17.



Price- $300.00


Fees

Full payment is due Friday, October 21, 2005. Send registration and
check made payable to: National Cathedral School, Alana Beard
Basketball Clinic, 3609 Woodley Road, NW, Washington, D.C. 20016. No
refunds for absences or voluntary withdrawals will be made after the
start of camp. We reserve the right to close registration for a full
clinic and to cancel if it is under-enrolled.
