WKBL Announces All-Star Rosters
The starters for the upcoming WKBL All-Star Game were announced
Sunday.
The starting five were selected based upon polls among the press
(50%) and six WKBL head coaches (30%) plus fan voting (20%) through
the league's official Web site.
Second-round MVP Lee Jong-ae of the Woori Bank Hansae leads the
Central All-Star team, comprised of players on the Hansae, Samsung
Life Bichumi and Kumho Life Falcons. Lee's teammate Tamika
Catchings,
and the Bichumi's trio of Lee Mi-sun, Park Jung-eun and Kim
Kwe-ryong
round out the starting five for Central All-Stars.
The reserves for the Central All-Star team are Cho Hey-jin (Hansae),
Kwak Ju-young (Falcons), Hong Hyun-hee (Hansae), Tiffani Johnson
(Falcons) and Byun Yeon-ha (Bichumi).
The Southern All-Star squad features players from the Shinsegae
Coolcat, KB Savers and Hyundai Hyperion. Coolcat center Jung Sung-
min, Savers' duo Chamique Holdsclaw and Kim Ji-yoon and the
Hyperion's Chon Joo-won and Kim Yung-ok will start the game for
the
Southern squad.
The reserves for the Southern All-Star team are Lee Un-joo (Coolcat),
Kang Ji-sook (Hyperion), Kim Kyung-hee (Savers), Nakia Sanford
(Hyperion) and Jang Sun-hyung (Coolcat).
