I encourage your support...

In the recent turn of events we can only watch
the horror that has occurred this past week. We as
fans understand the reasons for cancellations and
heightened concerns about security. We also wish to help in
any way possible. Here is something that I have sent
to some sports networks but I also want your support
and to possible encourage this idea as
well.

Here is what I have sent:
As a patriotic America I
can only say that we will prevail even in the darkest
of hours. Those that we have lost are now in our
hearts whether we are a man, woman, child, police
officer, doctor, athlete, or many of those apart of the
American work force. It was almost as if the very blanket
of freedom that we are provided with everyday of our
lives was pulled from underneath us.

Across
America, millions feel helpless because we can only watch
the horror that occurred to thousands of people in
Manhattan and Washington, DC. We seek ways in which we can
help, although we are thousands of miles away.
Respectfully, sports facilities have thoughtfully closed to
mourn those innocent victims we lost in Tuesday’s
tragedy. Would it be in the hearts of owners, sponsors,
and companies of professional sports teams to have a
day, the first day pro teams return to sporting
venues, to use the revenue made at professional sporting
events to go directly to aid those in Manhattan and
Washington, DC? I believe the turnout to these sporting
venues would be overwhelming as it has been to blood
banks all across the US. It would be day that no one
would complain of ticket prices, cost of food, and yet
still enjoy the games that America was built on and to
hail the American flag higher than ever before at a
sporting event! “If you build it, people will come”.
