Hello Everyone,

The last tutoring session was yesterday, and even though the A's were
swept by Seattle, the Green Stampede/Oakland A's Homework Club went out
on a high note. A's pitcher (and Stockton native) Dallas Braden
visited the Green Stampede students and discussed the importance of
education along with athletics. "I always made sure to have my
homework done" Braden said,"or else I would not be able to go to
baseball practice the next day." Dallas is currently finishing a
degree in psychology and is enjoying his major league experience. We
appreciate the A's community relations department with Detra Paige and
Warren Chu and appreciate Dallas Braden for visiting the students.

The next homework session will be in April 2008!

The last event of the Green Stampede this year is the Haunted House
project with Theta Delta Chi Fraternity in Berkeley. More information
will be forthcoming.
