Hello Everyone,
Hopefully, you had a chance to get to fanfest yesterday at the
Coliseum. Even with the rain and no Zito, there was a great
turnout. Stampede Members Keith, Bobby, Balistic Bill, and Quintona
even camped out in preparation for the event!
Thanks to everyone who came to our Board Meeting last Friday night.
The meeting ran a little longer than usual, but since it was our
Annual "Official" Meeting and Board Member Ygnacio Becerra provided
a sumptuous feast from his restaurant, Mi Linda Mazatlan, it was a
good time by all. The Green Stampede is looking to do even more
Community Service, more Tutoring with East Oakland middle school
students, and more "A's Fanness" for the 2007 season.
First of All, Congratulations to our New Director, Officer, and
Department Chairpersons!
Director Jerveece White was elected to the Board in Director's Seat
1 (which had been previously vacated). Jerveece is an Eastbay
native and loyal A's fan. Her term will last one year.
For the Officer Positions,
Barbara Henry will remain as Board Secretary for another 2 year
term. A new focus of her position will be to post the meeting
minutes on this Yahoo Groups site. If interested, go to the Files
section of this group:
groups.yahoo.com/group/thegreenstampede
Minutes will be posted after they have been approved by the Board.
For the Treasurer Position, we want to welcome back Cathy Bullard.
Cathy was formerly co-chair of the Tailgate Committee, and now she
will serve as the Treasurer. Professionally, she is the CEO of
Books by Bullard, a bookkeeping service. She will do a corporate
audit of The Green Stampede's finances which will be available for
all to view. We want to thank outgoing Treasurer Ken Stickney. Ken
is an original founder of The Green Stamepde. He will continue his
active involvement with the Board in other capacities. Thanks again
and way to go Brother!

Thanks again for everyone's support!
