Hello Everyone,
Hope that everyone had a great and safe 4th of July weekend.
The A's also looked great taking 2 out of 3 from our cross-bay
rivals, but they have a tough challenge ahead facing the Red Sox
Nation for 3 games and then finish the road trip in Cleveland
before the All-Star Game. The Green Stampede, though, is
taking off for the summer.
We will resume our tutoring program on Tuesday August 10,
2004 versus the Detroit Tigers. You may have heard our public
service announcements on the A's Flagship station 610 KFRC.
Thanks to the A's and The Port of Oakland for sponsoring the
tutoring program and for KFRC for broadcasting our
announcements.
TAILGATE PARTIES
Thanks to all who attended our tailgate party last week. Thanks
to the tailgate committee, headed by Chef Boyardean and thanks
to Liquid Sound DJs for the great music. The A's helped the
cause on the field en route to sweeping the Angels. Due to
scheduling, the next tailgate party is not until August 25 against
Miguel Tejada and the Baltimore Orioles. More info to come.
SOFTBALL GAME
The Green Stampede vs. the Right Field Bleachers softball
game #2 will be this Monday July 12 at St. Paschal's Field at 6
PM. Everyone is invited to attend, participate, and cheer for your
favorite fan club.
HAUNTED HOUSE
As stated in a previous message, The Green Stampede is
hosting its second annual "Haunted House of Horrors." Last
year, we coordinated a number of different theme rooms in the
context of the large gymnasium. This year, we are looking to
have a theme for the entire Haunted House. We will have a
meeting on Wednesday August 4 at 7 PM at St. Paschal's
Gymnasium. In this way, we can visualize the project and begin
work on this exciting event. Hope to see everyone there!
Have a Great Week and Go A's!
Extremism, in defense of the A's, is not a Vice!
