An 11-1 road trip--That was phenomenal! When the A's homestand
started, they were 3.5 games out of first place. Now they are 2.5 up
on the Angels and Rangers. The A's will have their true test this
week against the Cubs and Cardinals, though, but let's hope the bats
stay hot.

On the Green Stampede front, thanks to all who attended the tailgate
party last week. Pictures will be forthcoming. Usual thanks to
Liquid Sound DJ's and Chef Boyardean and crew. Our next tailgate
party will be on Wednesday June 29 versus the Anaheim Angels.

CASINO NIGHT

This Saturday, The Green Stampede will participate in the 4th annual
Casino Night at St. Paschal's Church. Proceeds will benefit the
tutoring program. Normal price for tickets are $15, but Green
Stampede members can get special discounted tickets for $5. Price
includes $20 in playing chips, food, music, and a chance to win great
prizes. Send an email to chris@... if interested.

GREEN STAMPEDE VERSUS RIGHT FIELD SOFTBALL GAME

The Green Stampede has been challenged again to a softball game.
This time it will be other fans in right field, most notably our
friends in section 149. The game will be on Monday June 28 at
Elmhurst Middle School Field on 98th avenue in Oakland at 6:30 PM.
Proceeds from the concession stand will benefit the tutoring
program. Most spots on the roster have been filled, but if
interested in playing, we may have two positions left. send an email
for more info.

TUTORING PROGRAM

Again, thanks to the A's and Mark Kotsay (who had such a hot
homestand after speaking with the students, he is now batting over
300) for the spring semester of the tutoring program. The next
session starts in August. If interested send an email to
chris@... or call our office at (510) 562-2506.

Thanks again and Go A's!

Extremism, in defense of the A's, is not a Vice!
